I am different from other athletes because of my sister. She has a rare genetic disorder that was diagnosed when she was 11 years old. She use to play lacrosse, basketball and ride bikes like other kids. Her disorder is progressive and she is slowly losing the use of her legs. I see how much she wants to run and play and it is hard for her but she still gets out and joins teams and tries her hardest while never giving up. This has helped me see how much I love to play lacrosse and cherish these moments. I work hard, am a positive teammate and really love to be part of something great. I really love my sister and she is my biggest fan. But, she does not realize she is my inspiration. I have worked so hard to be the best player I can be for myself and the team. I want to play college lacrosse more than anything in the world. It would be a great gift for my sister.
