I remember the first time that I picked up a lacrosse stick. I was sitting on the sidelines at one of my older sister's games when I started to toss the ball back and forth with one of the other spectators. As I pondered around with the ball, I felt as though my hands belonged to the stick. The feeling felt natural, and from that moment, I knew that the game was meant for me. My love for the game only grew stronger five years later. I'm an athletic, ambidextrous, versatile player. I have experience playing in both the attack and midfield positions. My right hand is slightly stronger than my left, but I can shoot, throw, catch, and cradle with my left hand. Aside my my athletic ability, I also demonstrate exceptional leadership and sportsmanship on the field.
The game of lacrosse has shaped me into the person I am today. It made me a more disciplined individual in all aspects of my life, including athletics, academics, and even in my personal life. A challenging part of my journey was overcoming the death of my brother during my sophomore season. This adversity in my life made me train even harder for my junior season, but unfortunately, it was cancelled due to COVID-19. However; I plan to play an indoor league this winter, where I hope to further develop my skills.
