While lacrosse isn't the most popular sport in the midwest (yet), I was fortunate enough to be introduced to this wonderful sport by a family friend. Just by playing one game, I fell in love with lax and it changed me in so many positive ways. Once a shy person, this sport gave me major confidence. Now I use this skill to make new friends wherever I go just because of this sport. I hope other girls in Missouri have a chance to pick up a stick and experience what I did when I was their age!
My academic goal is to get to and keep a 4.0 GPA, and eventually get a scholarship in academics & sports to help further my education. I love the ocean and marine life -it is so interesting; however the human biology is also very fascinating to me. So I am between these two fields as my career in life. I want to increase my lacrosse IQ, further my education in the biology field, while deciding if I end up in Marine Biology or Pre-med. Passionate about both areas and going to a school that accommodates both these academic and athletic pursuits is highly important.
I want coaches to know that I rise to the challenge and want to prove myself as a valiant player with a love & respect for the sport. I'm super fast on the field, highly competitive, never willing to give up, determined to win and always play with 110%. I am determined to prove my strengths and given the chance, I hope to impress the coach with my speed, agility; I'm a fast learner and because of the experience of my youth, I believe in encouraging others to their full potential. Makes the team stronger when we all feel good about ourselves.
This sport showed me how to open up to people and I say I wouldn’t be the same person I am today without it. I like to work hard and play hard - a combination I believe works well on the field and in the classroom to get the job done!
