Annica Lam '22 Recruiting Profile

Being the captain and founder of my robotics team, I have not only learned what being a leader means but also being a team player. I learned to support my teammates and work with them on the field and off. My goal in the future is to start my own business and to continue helping others and giving back to the community. I have created a non-profit camp for kids during the summer of COVID-19 and I do about 10 outreaches a year with my robotics team to teach others and share my experience for the things I love. Recognizing that there are very few Asians in lacrosse, I have been volunteer to help my old travel team, coach lacrosse to younger Asian girls and boys in my town.

I once had a coach that told me I wasn't good enough, and ever since then, I have been intensely driven and motivated to always improve. I have a strong work ethic and always devote 110% of my effort into everything I commit to. I have been playing lacrosse for 11 years and it has been my passion ever since kindergarten. Playing on a college lacrosse team, I hope to learn, improve my game, better my lax IQ, and gain life long teammates and friends.
