So every college recruiter has read thousands of statements before mine now. Most are from girls who have played lacrosse since they could walk and have racked up titles, trophies, and awards and their true passion, like myself, for living and breathing is playing lacrosse. This is not from an athlete who wants it easy, or is looking for anything less than the best when it comes to playing in college. Although my discovery of the sport was later than desirable, I put 200% of myself into every practice and game. Every coach in every sport I have ever played will tell you that I never give up, put all of myself into everything, have a lot of heart, have great work ethic, unrelenting intensity, and am the fastest girl they've ever had the privilege of working with. I am extremely self motivated, which for me, means that practice doesn't end when the coaches leave, and season never, ever, ends. I can run a mile in under 6:39 and am 5' 11" (great advantage for being a center) and 150 pounds, which may seem like a lot, but as you may see from my pictures, it is mostly muscle. I have been the fastest girl on every team I have ever played for(always including the upperclassmen) and capitalize on this every time I step into an athletic atmosphere. I always try to absorb as much as I can from everything going on around me and love getting constructive criticism from coaches. All of them have noticed my eagerness to improve and great coach ability, which are a huge advantage on the field. I currently play varsity for my high school and played with 2 club teams this past summer. I played midfield at school and was the un-subbed starting center for club, but I can easily play any position on the field well (I rarely get taken from center because between height, speed, and knowing 4 different draws there's really no better place for me). I plan on playing 2 winter leagues to prepare for the upcoming season and have already begun working out for the spring. I would be more than happy to answer any personal, lacrosse, or academic-related questions and look forward to contact with coaches in the future.
