Ever since I was a child my parents told me to be a good person and be someone that their friends would like. This has set the tone for my attitude in life. I strive to be someone that people feel comfortable approaching and asking for help. I am an only child and have developed a stubbornness that is very beneficial on the field because I don't like to give up. I am also very loyal to those I care about and love that "team" feeling.
I became interested in lacrosse naturally. I am a third generation lacrosse player and was raised watching the game. My grandfather, uncle and father all played so family events often involve lacrosse sticks. I also have numerous cousins who currently play at the high school level and have one cousin who plays at the pro level. We live close to Syracuse so we watch many of their lacrosse games, men's and women's. I joined the local youth association in sixth grade and have been playing ever since.
Being part of a team has taught me a lot about myself. Being a defense player I know I am not going to be the star of the game but if I don't play well or to the best of my ability I can certainly help lose a game. That knowledge makes me go into every game with more determination to get that ground ball or intercept that pass.
Academically I strive to do the best I can and when I struggle with a subject I am not afraid to ask for help. My goal is to be a physical therapist and I am actively working towards that by taking advanced classes in a physical therapy program offered by my high school. I have set a path for my future and am determined to see it to the end.
