My name is Erin James, and I am from East Patchogue, LI New York. I started playing lacrosse in 4th grade for my towns PAL team and soon after joined travel club lacrosse . I made the Varsity team as an 8th grader for my public high school and, as a freshman at Saint Anthonys High School, I secured a position on the JVA team where we won JV NSCHSAA championship. I am a 4 semester honor roll student and have a strong interest in studying science in college.
My love for sports began at a young age, beginning with Archery winning back to back region championship for my age group. Being the youngest of 39 grandchildren I have grown up watching my family of athletes. My father played D1 soccer at Niagara University and my cousin, plays D1 women's lacrosse at Hoftstra University these are just a few examples of the athletic legacy of my family. You could say I was born to compete!
I am a team player, coachable, and a gritty post defender with a strong lax IQ. I pride myself on my focus, patience, and timing, I am a pressure player with an impactful defense. I have focused my training on improving my strength and agility which has help me become a complete player. I am adapt at reading the offense , calling out cutters and communicating with my teammates. My 1v1 defense is strong especially along the goal line extended .
My goal is to play lacrosse at the highest level possible while also attending a great academic school.
