Erin Jacobson '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Erin Jacobson, I am currently a Junior at Curtis High School in Staten Island, New York. I am 5'6 and 145 pounds. I enjoy being an athlete playing both volleyball and lacrosse all three years of high school and it has become very much a part of who I am. I enjoy the sports as well as the team camaraderie. I was lucky enough to be selected as captain of our JV volleyball team in my sophomore year as well as captain of varsity lacrosse for junior year.  For my senior year I will be continuing with varsity lacrosse as captain. I started my varsity lacrosse career when I was a freshman and came onto the team as the starting goalie; a position which I continue to hold. Although lacrosse is just starting to take off in Staten Island I have made and will continue to make myself a better player, I have attended Penn State Lacrosse camp, several clinics both in and outside of school, had one on one goalie coaching, and will be attending Princeton lacrosse camp as well as a 2 month lacrosse clinic this summer. Going forward into college I would like to be able to join a lacrosse team and participate with the team in any way possible whether playing in games or just improving as a player. What I am currently looking for in a school is medium to large student body, and as far as athletics I am open to divisions. I am also looking to study medicine to advance into a career as a nurse or a physicians assistant.  When choosing a school it will be important that the school is around 3-6 hours from NYC.
