Hi! My name is Cayden Holdsworth, I am a 2023 recruit currently attending Westmount Secondary School in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. I have played lacrosse now for 6 years including Hamilton Bengals provincial U13-U19, Evolve Elite Club Team U13-JV and United Lacrosse league U17. throughout my playing career I have had the opportunity to experience all field positions, however my best fit and most rewarding has been defence. I am a strong solid, reliable defensive, I have had experience with different defence systems and am quick to adjust to changes/transitions on the field. I enjoy the challenge of both the physical and mental aspects of the game which motivate me to continuously develop my skills and lacrosse IQ. Ultimately, my priority as a competitive player is being the best supportive teammate and working cohesively on the field. I am willing to work hard and do my part for the teams success.
Alongside the opportunity of taking my lacrosse playing career to the collegiate level, as a student athlete, my academic goal is to pursue a degree in Sciences/forensics field. I am currently in the process of completing a variety of senior level science courses, including biology, chemistry, and forensics. With the expansive options available for this area of study, I am still exploring idea of working directly in the sciences in a lab or research areas or possibly teaching sciences at the high school level as career options. In the classroom, I am a persistent and dedicated to achieving my best.
