Hi my name is Mia Simon and I am a Junior at McDowell High School. I have been playing lacrosse for four years. I decided to play lacrosse because I wanted to join a team. After nine years of Taekwondo in achieving my second degree black belt I did not want to be in an independent sport anymore. My friends had just started to play lacrosse and asked me to join the team with them. From the moment I started playing I fell in love with the sport and knew I wanted to continue playing. I instantly loved the bond the other girls had with each other and wanted to be apart of it. Almost approaching my fifth year playing, I am grateful to say lacrosse has given me that bond with my second family. I know that my girls have my back on and off the field. Lacrosse has now become one of my main priorities taking up most of my time. It can be hard at times to manage lacrosse, schoolwork, family, and friends, but I think I am able to accomplish it all because of my time management skills. I look forward to my future in lacrosse.
