Sydney Wasdick '22 Recruiting Profile

I am very fortunate to have had so many great coaches and mentors to help and guide me the past 7 years in competitive lacrosse and the past 4 years in competitive volleyball.  I love playing sports and love the challenge and opportunity that they bring.  I rely heavily on my coaches experience and expertise to make me a better player and person.  I possess two traits that every coach I have worked with in any sport has told me I have; coachability and a competitive drive. I listen and learn from my coaches. I love to win. Apparently it drives my mother crazy, but it works for me in sports. I love being part of a team and contributing to their success.

I also challenge myself in the classroom. I take a mix of honors, core and elective classes to make me as well rounded of a student and person I can be. I don't slack off or ask for special treatment because I am an athlete. I want to set a good example of what a student athlete should be.

I am looking forward to continuing my athletic career in college. I can bring all my talent and drive to your program. I am truly a team player and will play wherever needed to ensure team success.  I am hoping to study either physical therapy or education and plan to get into coaching as well since I cannot imagine not being involved in sports throughout my life.
