Personal Statement

I love my family, my friends, lacrosse, escargot, and laughing. I am a loyal, and considerate friend. I am an athlete who always gives 100% effort. Due to COVID and then a torn ACL, 2022 was my first high school lacrosse season. During my recovery, I did not miss any of my Varsity basketball, lacrosse, or field hockey practices or games. This winter, as I wasn’t cleared for basketball, my surgeon said I could run, swim, or skate with no contact, so, I joined the Varsity ice hockey team and participated in every 6:15am practice. I supported the team from the bench at games, just as I had done for my other teams all year. I believe this demonstrates character, sportsmanship, and a team-first mentality, all fundamental parts of who I am. In my return to lacrosse, my high school coach needed an attack player, so I switched to this position from midfield. I started all 16 games in 2022, netted 38 goals and had 16 assists. I play equally with both hands.

I am a proud member of VT's inaugural 2022 National Team and played in the USA Lacrosse Nat'l Tournament in Maryland. I was also one of two VT delegates at the 2022 Nat'l Federation of High Schools (NFHS) Student Leadership Summit in Indianapolis, and I was selected to play at the Athletes Unlimited Futures National Summit in Maryland.
