Sports have always been a part of my life. I started out trying dance when I was three-years-old, then moved to gymnastics which I did for many years, along with soccer, baseball and basketball. My parents said I was the "kid who would try anything." I found lacrosse in second grade, and while I continued playing basketball, lacrosse became my thing. When I started I was not the fastest, and did not have the best stick skills, but I learned the game and learned to love playing. My determination to improve continued as I started playing for a travel team along with my recreational local team. I have had seasons where we have won tournaments and championships and seasons where my team never won a single game. All of this has been a learning experience for me, each time I am at a practice, at a game or doing wall ball daily in my yard.
Once I started high school I continued to play lacrosse and added field hockey. I am currently a starter on the varsity field hockey team and am so grateful to be back on the field playing a sport. I practice both sports every day with my dogs, and it is so fun but a challenge since they steal the balls. I am looking forward to a future of playing the game I love, focusing on my education, and looking forward to college.
