Kristen Layo '12 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am Kristen Layo! I have enjoyed playing high school lacrosse as a midfielder for the past 3 years. My freshman year, I helped initiate and establish the lacrosse program at our high school. As a sophomore, I played on Varsity earning All-Conference and 2nd Team All-State honors.  As a junior, I received All-Conference and US Lacrosse All-Academic Awards. Our team had a record of 13-2 and finished as conference co-champs in only our 3rd year of existence.

I am sharing my love of lacrosse by traveling to Africa this summer in July to participate in the South African Lacrosse Project (SALP). During this project I will be helping teach the game of lacrosse to orphaned middle and high school students. In addition to being involved in numerous extracurricular and community services, I have demonstrated my ability to play competitive lacrosse and maintain high academic performance during my high school career.  I look forward to playing college lacrosse at a school with an established lacrosse program and a strong academic curriculum.
