My name is Inyam Ricketts, and I have had 5 years of experience with rowing. Because this sport is about progress, I've always tried my best each year to make my technique better and become a stronger, faster rower. This has included learning to row port and starboard, which inevitably led to also becoming a sculler. Although rowing can be a little easier with my 5'8'' frame, I haven't stopped trying to be even better than I was before.
As far as being a teammate goes, my coaches tell me that two of my best qualities is being prudent and productive. Whether is is encouraging my teammates or taking leadership to load the trailer for regattas, I try to contribute as much as I am able to crew in order to get the job done correctly and efficiently.
My goal is to be admitted to a rowing team for a scholarship for college, and I will work hard to obtain it.
