Personal Statement
Hello, I'm Ella. I'm a Junior at West Springfield High School and have rowed since 2020. I can both scull and sweep any position in the boat proficiently so that I can be a versatile team member. Over the past three years, crew has given me friends, a support system, good exercise, and a push to set higher expectations for myself. That said, I also give back: I am an encouraging teammate and I bring optimistic energy to any workout while pushing my teammates to do their personal bests. My goal is to add power to the boat, not take away from it. What I hope to get from the collegiate crew experience is a team that pushes me to get better numbers, be a better teammate, and make some boats go fast.
