Livi Shan '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a current senior in high school, entering my fourth season of rowing. While I began the sport during my freshman year, my passion and motivation far outweigh what I may lack in experience. I rowed in the 2nd Varsity 4+ boat during my freshman year, and in the 1st Varsity 4+ boat during both my sophomore and junior year. I have also had experience in an 8+ boat as well, and can confidently say that, in either case, the utter sense of community is the major driving force behind my dedication. I feel completely at one with not only the motion of the boat itself, but also with every single person in it as well. That powerful feeling of connection is what I constantly strive for within every environment ... perhaps even at your very own college campus! I wish to further challenge myself in college, especially at a varsity level for rowing. I hope to continue spreading my positive energy on and off of the water.
