Personal Statement

It is my dream to play college volleyball. I try extremely hard in school to keep my grades high so that this goal is a possibility. I am always positive and energetic both on and off the court. Many of my coaches have called me an "always happy girl," "extremely positive and loving," and "overall a silly girl who is always laughing." Also, in addition to to my optimism, I always try to lift my teammates up after a mistake or a really good save that may have not resulted in what we had hoped. Also, I was a competitive gymnast for ten years, and I have kept up with a lot of the strength and agility needed to compete at that level. I have learned and am still learning how to harness and use that strength in the most successful and plausible ways.

Club Information

  • Seasons of Club Experience
  • 3 seasons
  • 2020 Central Mass Juniors (Tier 3 (Top Team))
  • I am currently on the top 17s team in my club, where I am playing as the primary setter and a right-side hitter.
  • 2018 CMass Juniors (Tier 3)
  • Tier 3 is the highest level in the CMASS club. I am currently the starting setter for the Tier 3 U15 team. We have played in open in all regional tournaments, including Capital Classic in Washington, DC. We played one NERVA tournament in club level, but we won the tournament and replaced ourselves in open division. In the Big South Tournament in Atlanta, we played in the USA division. To put rotation in perspective, we switch between a 6-2, 5-2, and a 5-1. In a 6-2, I am the starting setter and play right side front row. In a 5-2, I play front row setter, so that we can run a middle slide and I am able to attack, but I am then subbed out for the other setter to be subbed in for back row. In a 5-1, I play all the way around the rotation.
  • 2017 CMass Juniors (MA) (Tier 2 U14 Go)
  • I was on the second top team for CMASS last year. I was the main setter for our team. We played club division, but we consistently did very well in all regional tournaments. We won two and made it to the playoffs in several others. We ran a 5-1 all year, and I ran the offense all game for my team.
