My name is Madelyn Sweeney, I’m currently 17 years old and go to John jay high school. I am a multi sport athlete who’s been swimming since six years of age and now, row with Wappingers crew club and Hudson River rowing. I started rowing in 7th grade, and during that first season I had the opportunity to row with the varsity girls. After many seasons of spring, fall, and summer, I was the first ever voted in sophomore captain of the varsity girls team, and re-elected again this year for our current season. I aim to be a role model for many and to help encourage my teammates.
People can describe me as a incredibly hard working, personable, passionate, and coachable student athlete.
In college I want to study environmental science and engineering, with classes in sustainability. In school I want to continue my passion for photography, and join any clubs or take any classes relating to that art.
I deeply appreciate your time and interest in me as a future student athlete, and hope to speak with you soon!
