Lauren Durkin '25 Recruiting Profile

I have found a sense of purpose, and a build of confidence ever since I became a rower. Starting during the summer of seventh grade, I instantly fell in love with the sport. Being apart of a team has taught me many valuable things such as stepping out of my comfort zone, hard work, and self discipline.  I know that I would make a great addition to a college team because I am trained to be strong in any position whether it be stroke, bow, or in the middle. I am getting excellent training and experience at The Port Jefferson Rowing Club, where I keep developing year round. I’ve learned to push myself to my limits and set goals that have made me the athlete I am today. I am dedicated and more than willing to row at the college level.
