My name is Morgan Albert and I'm a part of the 2023 class. I've been rowing for a year and have learned so much about the sport and myself. I started rowing after I stopped playing volleyball and was looking for another sport with a good team atmosphere. Rowing has shown me that if you put in the effort it pays off and determination is key. I have also learned so much about having a strong team connection and putting in the effort for yourself also means putting in effort for the team as a whole.
At school I'm involved in Link Crew which is a club that helps the new freshman learn about everything you need to know about high school and we continue to check in with them as the year goes on. I'm also in National Technical Honors Society. My two favorite classes are bioscience and ceramics! I've learned through school and sports that it's very important to have a balanced schedule and make time for things you love. Outside of school and rowing I enjoy being with my friends and family, and also traveling.
