My name is Savannah Flusche and I am an incoming senior at Gahanna Lincoln HS. I am the oldest of four children and both of my parents are teachers, which has greatly influenced my academic career. I have thrown shot, disc, and weight throughout high school, but weight is my favorite event. I competed in weight this past indoor season and finished 6th in the state.
My collegiate goals are to keep improving my PRs and become an All American thrower. I would love to learn the javelin and hammer, as well, and compete in a throwing pentathalon.
My academic goals are lofty too. I want to get a degree in marketing and entrepreneurship and one day own my own business. Working with my community and young adults is a passion of mine, especially young athletes, and I want to help them achieve their goals the best I can. As teachers, my parents work with socioeconomically impoverished kids and I have seen their work first hand. I want to continue with their example and make an impact on those around me.
