Ever since Elementary School I have firmly believed in working hard and achieving my goals even if they seem out of reach. I have continued with this philosophy throughout High School working towards making a difference in the world. It upsets me substantially when I see less fortunate people not only economically but socially as well. I have done sports my entire life never knowing which one was the right fit for me but the first time I sat down in a boat something just clicked with me. I knew I was meant to be there, and I had worked extremely hard to be there. Sophomore year I was racing varsity in the lightweight category weighing about only 115 pounds. This year I will strive to improve not only because it is expected but because I want to improve. School has always been a great way to express my ideas and getting involved in certain clubs such as ADL, (the anti-defamation league) who stand by morals that I hold close to my heart, help me to grow as an individual in society.
