Personal Statement

As a third-year Men's Varisty Coxswain, I am learning to coordinate my calls to coincide with each of my rower's abilities to maximize efficiency, skill, direction, and speed of the boat. I see every practice as an opportunity to demonstrate my competitiveness and willingness to be challenged and corrected by both my teammates and coaches to both learn and grow. I am driven to succeed in both athletics and academics. In the leadership role of being a coxswain, this skill overlaps into my academic world of group and teamwork success.
