I was introduced to the game of soccer when I was three, and I've been playing for twelve years now. My soccer introduction began with recreational leagues and at the age of 7 is when I was exposed to the club level. Since that time I've begun playing more competitively and over the years have progressed into more challenging levels. These competitive levels have truly have given me the desire to play at the college level. I view myself as a athlete who is coachable, positive, encouraging, and dedicated to not just what is expected but what additional training is offered. I am devoted to being the best I can be on and off the field. When I assess my character I view myself as someone who demonstrates dedication and compassion toward my teammates. I help motivate and encourage those that feel less skilled. I like to be challenged which makes me step outside of my comfort zone and not be afraid to take risks.
I view myself as a player who is mindful of my teammates and works with and not against the skill of everyone on the team. We play to challenge ourselves as individuals, but choose to challenge one another making us better players in our positions. I consider myself a player who strives to get better with a coaches constructive criticism, and tries to listen to the direction of all staff coaching the team. I view myself as someone who is receptive to instruction and feedback in general.
My goals are to academically succeed in a competitive environment, where I am challenged with my course work. I strive best when I have to apply myself on and off the field. I like to be held accountable and understand when I am not at my personal best that I have to make adjustments in order to succeed at the level that I know I can achieve. Another goal I have is to be the best player I can be with any coach or team that I am a representation of. This might be my permanent team or a team that I am guest playing for, but I will always bring a positive character and skill to the field.
