"Flagstaff has a quality keeper. She's one of the strongest I've seen..." (Catalina Foothills Head Coach, following the 2019/2020 4A High School State Championship Game in AZ Preps365, February 26, 2020).
"The Sophomore goalkeeper played years beyond her age..." (AZ Central Newspaper, February 25, 2020)
My start with the sport of soccer began late in my childhood compared to many of my teammates. I always thought my athletic career would focus on softball, a sport I started playing as soon as I was eligible for T-ball. However, playing soccer during school recess at the age of 9 with my friends quickly escalated into a new passion for me.
Currently, I am a Junior attending Flagstaff High School in the small mountain town of Flagstaff, Arizona. I have been the starting goal keeper and team captain for the Flagstaff Soccer Club United Girls Team (Advanced League/ASL2) for the past 3 seasons and for the Flagstaff High School Varsity Girls Team since my Freshman year. During my Sophomore year, as the last line of defense, I helped lead my team to not only becoming the #1 ranked team in the 4A Grand Canyon Region but ultimately achieving a state title as the 4A Arizona State Champions. A game unlike no other with a victory through two overtimes and closing out with PK's, it was truly an amazing experience. I have been named Player of the Game by AZ Max Preps three times, named Athlete of the Year by Arizona Daily Sun (newspaper), and selected 2nd Team All-Region by the Arizona Interscholastic Association. You can follow more of my high school stats at https://www.azpreps365.com.
Academically, I am a student in the Advanced Placement Academy at Flagstaff High School. AP Academy exposes me to challenging college level courses of which I am able to achieve college credit and will graduate as a distinguished scholar with the Class of 2022. I am currently in the Student Internship for Athletic Training at Flagstaff High School. After high school I plan to continue my studies in sports medicine because I would like to help improve the performance of other athletes and to aid in preventing injuries related to sports. When it comes to school and sports, I am focused, hard working, and up to face challenges that overall help me to believe in myself. I look forward to the future and I'm excited to see where soccer will take me!
