My goal for college is to get a masters degree in law. I want to be a lawyer to defend immigrants and help them with their legal status. Eventually I want to open a chain of my own law offices and go back to school and get a doctorate. I am 4'11 and I have been playing soccer since I was about 5 years old. I didn't play freshman year for a club team or school because of how tight my schedule was and I wasn't really allowed to travel and leave school. I have played for 3 clubs; Ravenswood soccer club, Madera Roja, and Palo Alto soccer club. I played for a premier and gold team for about 2 years. Even after all my injuries of sprained wrist, sprained ankles, broken fingers and 2 concussions I never gave up and kept playing. I'm very passionate about everything I do, and I love representing the Latino community and being different. I love being involved in political movements and really fighting for justice. My friends would say I have a powerful voice and use it to get what I want and feel is right. I have always been a pretty good student with good grades except freshman year. It has been hard adjusting to such a new environment and schedule with an extended day. I was also diagnosed with an anxiety disorder late in the year which made things really hard for me. I have great connection with people I’m good at talking to young people but also adults. On the field I’m very good at communicating with the rest of my team.
