Hi my name is Marissa Lynch and I currently am a junior at Fountain Valley High School in Fountain Valley, California. Soccer and school have both been a top priority for me as long as I can remember and I hope to see my hard work pay off.
I have played at the top levels of soccer competition. I was a consistent participant from June 2013 - June 2014 at the US Soccer ID camps run at UC Irvine. In September of 2013, I was called up to the U14 Women’s National Team Camp. I also was recruited to join the Strikers ECNL soccer team. Near the end of the season, I suffered an injury playing soccer that limited my physical fitness and required that I focus primarily on my studies.
A good thing that came out of this period was that I taught myself piano since my movements were limited and it was considered good therapy. In May 2016 I was fully cleared to play sports again and I am currently in the process of getting back to top form.
I am playing with the Irvine Slammers FC G99 EGSL, coached by Tim Woodcock who gave me my first exposure to the US Soccer Training camps. My main focus is to get back to top physical fitness and getting plenty of touches. I also will play varsity soccer for my high school in both Junior and Senior years
Throughout high school, I have been keeping up with my studies and am an excellent student. I have a cumulative GPA of 4.2. and I am currently taking AP Calculus, AP Spanish 4, and AP English Language and Composition.
