One of my top goals before I graduate high school is to commit to a college for soccer. I would be a valuable player for any team because I have a growth mindset and easily take directions from teammates and coaches. I always strive to not only push myself but the people around me. I do this by giving my maximum effort at games and practices. I have even been recognized many times by my coaches for being one of the hardest workers at practice. Since I was three, it has been a lifelong goal to play soccer at the collegiate level. I stand out from other players because although I am one of the smallest on the field, I use this as a motivation to better myself in other aspects of the game, like shooting, footwork, body positioning, and speed.
Currently, I am ranked 13 in my class out of 695 students, the top 2% in my class. My goal is to be one of the valedictorians of my 2022 graduating class. Since my freshman year, I have been vice-president of my student body. In my leadership role, I have organized dances, rallies, and halftime shows for sporting events. I have volunteered for our local Special Olympics by helping the players get to their events on time and this year I recently joined the Unified Soccer team. Besides playing soccer on the varsity level since I was a freshman, I have also been on the varsity track team my entire high school career. I was a sprinter, a long jumper, and a triple jumper. I participated in track and field during my off-season from soccer to challenge myself and stay conditioned.
My goal in college is to participate and be involved as I have been in high school. I look forward to being a valuable member of a campus community, not only in sports but academically and socially.
