I grew up with two athletic parents who taught me to honor to very important values. Hard work and dedication. Not only dedication to every sports team I was ever a part of but having a devotion to putting every ounce of my effort into every goal I set. Whether it be on the field, or in the classroom, I hold myself to a standard of commitment and to having the ability to stay on track to achieve my goals. Soccer and athletics have always been a big part of my life. When I got the chance to be captain of my Varsity team I got a whole new outlook on the game. I am now a strong believer of supporting your teammates on and off the field, and every single player on the team including the ones on the bench make a difference. I have worked hard and long for where I am athletically and academically and I am committed to continuing to develop as a player, teammate, student, and person, as well as helping the people around me grow as well.
If you give me the chance, I will fight for you and your team, and I will not stop learning and growing from you and my teammates.
Sincerely,
Makála Thomas (2018)
