Hi Coaches! My name is Skye Inal and I am a freshman at Westridge High School located in Pasadena, California l. I have been playing water polo since the age of 8. I have been to the Junior Olympics 5 times and each time I have played in the platinum division. This past summer, my club team, the Rose Bowl Water Polo Club 14u Girls Team, took 8th place at the 2022 JO's in Southern California.
This year, in addition to playing with my club team, I will also be playing with my high school team. Over the last couple of years, I have participated in additional water polo clinics, including the Olympic Development Program (ODP) and the USC summer camp. Last winter, I was selected out of a national pool to attend the ODP Holiday Camp and practiced at the official USA Olympic Training facility in I have also had private lessons on and off over the years. I am a dedicated player who understands not only the physical but also the mental and strategic aspects of the game. As a utility player, I am trained in all positions of the sport. My favorite positions are outside attacker on the 4/5 and driver.
In addition, I recently obtained my Black Belt in Taekwondo after 3 years of hard work. I have many different interests. My main goal is to find a university with a Pre-Med program. My hope is to one day become a surgeon and help women and children. In Jr. High, I won first place in the Los Angeles County Science Fair in the Material/Physical science division. In the summers I run a math tutoring business and teach elementary students math equations. It is a lot of fun. Next summer I am going to work at a Surfing camp. I speak Arabic, Turkish, and some German. I am currently learning Spanish.
