My name is Jessica Lane. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. Playing soccer has always been an important part of my life, and it has gotten me through so many obstacles. I am currently captain of my high school and club team which portrays my leadership skills. Also because of all my years playing soccer I have great knowledge of the game for most positions. I am a quick decision maker, great at positioning, quick learner, and skilled in spatial awareness. Because of these skills and more I believe I would be a good candidate for the collegiate level of soccer.
Currently in school I am in 6 clubs/organizations while keeping a high GPA. These clubs include Book Club where I am president, student government, National Honors Society, Athletic Management, The 13 Club, and Community Service Club. At the same time I go to my club team's practices/games 3-4 times a week (45 min. drive). During the spring I also do school track, and club track in the winter.
I want to attend a college where I can be challenged both athletically and academically. I plan to major in biology in order to work my way to researching neuroscience. I am open to all things and hope to get the opportunity to further my athletic career. I am grateful for any opportunity to play soccer even as a walk on and hope to spend the next four years in California. I communicate best through text messages but also check my email everyday.
