Maya Giannini '25 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches,

I am writing to express my collegiate goals and aspirations as well as highlight why I would be a strong candidate for your team. My name is Maya Giannini, and I am a student at Notre Dame High School, currently in the 11th grade. I am passionate about studying animal science, as I love raising animals and caring for them.

Throughout my academic journey, I have consistently dedicated to my personal development and leadership. I have held various positions within the clubs and sports teams I have been part of over the years. I have served as team captain for various club volleyball teams over the years as well as my high school varsity volleyball team.

I am a motivated and competitive volleyball player, both on the beach and indoors. Most recently, I was named as a member of the Monterey County Girl’s Volleyball First Team All-League. I am also an experienced horseback rider, specializing in Western riding. Furthermore, I have achieved the title of Livestock Show Champion, showcasing my dedication and expertise in this area. Additionally, I am bilingual, fluent in both Spanish and English, which allows me to effectively communicate with a diverse range of individuals.

I have been commited to my academics, as well. I have consistently made the Honor Roll at Notre Dame High School. I am a proud member of the National Society of High School Scholars and the California Federation of High School Scholars. I also hold a YQCA Certificate for my commitment to animal agriculture education. In the realm of livestock shows, I have achieved notable honors such as Senior Swine Showmanship Grand Champion at SCCF and SVF, Reserve Grand Champion and Grand Champion Meat Pen Broilers at MCF and SVF, and Intermediate Grand Champion Swine Showman at the Stateline Livestock Show. Moreover, I have excelled in volleyball, securing bids for the Jr. Girls Beach Volleyball Nationals and Jr. Girls Indoor Volleyball Nationals for the past two years.

In conclusion, I am an ambitious and well-rounded individual who is eager to further my volleyball career and \ pursue animal science at the collegiate level. My leadership skills, dedication to community service, athletic abilities, and academic achievements set me apart from other recruits.
