Brittney Righetti...Personal Statement
I have never been uneasy with facing obstacles. Soccer constantly presents challenges with team tryouts, practicing hard for playing time and maintaining the motivation to head to the gym on "off" days. Making the All-League second team as a Freshman was a highlight of my Varsity high school experience. In addition to my high school soccer experience I am also fortunate to play in a great club program, San Francisco Elite Academy, where I am the starting Center Forward and the leading goal scorer for our team in the Champion's League. Playing for my SFEA team has introduced me to talented coaching and great teammates. Soccer has taught me the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I have the talent to compete in a top college program. I also believe I possess the character, work-ethic and leadership skills to make an immediate impact.
In addition to my love of soccer my family has always stressed the importance of receiving a quality education. I intend to continue challenging myself in my academics by taking rigorous course load. I will work hard to maintain my high GPA and, when the time comes, be well prepared for my ACT and SAT tests.
