Starting as a center back as a freshman on varsity alongside Emily Smith, U.S. women's national player and center back at UC Berkeley, and winning league has been the highlight of my high school soccer career so far. Despite my successful first year of high school soccer, I tore my ACL the week before tryouts my sophomore year. Although this injury has prevented me from being able to play soccer for 9 months, it has given me the opportunity to recognize my passion for this sport and refocus my goals of becoming a strong and competitive athlete.
