I have decided that I want to make a difference, therefore I am choosing to go to college to prepare for a career in law. A good lawyer has to be diligent, have attention to detail, communicate well, have resilience and self confidence. I believe all these attributes are also key for an athlete and throughout my high school career, sports have taught me lessons in each of these areas.
In high school I am a 3 sport athlete, (soccer, basketball and track & field). I feel that I will make a good student athlete in college because I have always been told that my greatest strength is that I am coachable. In my Junior year, I was selected as a Captain for both soccer and basketball by the coaching staff and the previous years captains (soccer) and through a team vote (basketball). My confidence on the field that I would be able to help my team each game was one of the reasons they thought I would make a good leader. In every game there are failures and successes and I work to never let the team get to low or too confident, we just have to move on and communicate on how we can always get better.
I believe that I will be able to use these skills that I learned in High School and use them to make a positive impact on your program.
