Hi Coaches.
Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement. My name is Simone McMillan and I began my freshman year at Glasgow High School(located in Newark, Delaware) in the fall of 2023. I am a multi-sport athlete but soccer has been one of my favorite sport to play ever since 3rd grade. My hope is that I gain enough skill to be an impactful player at the college level. When I am not playing soccer, swimming, or volleyball, I spend a lot of time doing fun things with my family like going to Hershey Park or Ocean City, Maryland. Some of my hobbies are being creative with my art work, making yummy dishes in the kitchen, listening to all types of music in my down time, swimming competitively and playing volleyball. My sisters and I spend a lot of time in the pool with our club swim team at GNBC and Wedgewood summer swim team. I also started playing varsity volleyball at Glasgow High School. We haven't had the best season in the world but I am making a lot of new friends and having a really fun time learning how to be a student first and athlete second. After I graduate from high school, I plan to go to college, earn a degree in nursing and hopefully get an opportunity to also play soccer. Thank you again for taking a moment to read about me. I hope to hear from you very soon.
Sincerely,
Simone "Monster Monie" McMillan
