Hello my name is Kennedy Rist and I am a college freshman and a goalkeeper. After a lot of thought and consideration, I decided it would be best for me to place myself on the transfer list and look at future options to further my athletic and academic career.
A little bit about me academically:
+ I graduated high school with a 4.5 GPA and as Senior Class President
+ I came into college with a 4.0 GPA due to all my dual enrollment credits and am still maintaining it during my first college semester
+ At the end of my first semester of college, I earned a 3.6 GPA
+ My major is Neuroscience and am looking to possibly minor in Computer/Software Engineering or ITS. (my goal is to go into the field of artificial intelligence)
+ I have my academic certifications in: Microsoft office specialist certification in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Entrepreneurship and Small Business Certification (ESB), CIW Internet Business Associate Certification,
A little about me athletically:
+ Completed one year at the University of Texas at Dallas
+ Named Florida Youth Soccer Association Save of The Year in 2021
+ Played ECNL-R Soccer throughout my club career
+ Club Soccer Captain for 3 years
+ Participated in Florida ODP
+ Ended Club career with a record of 71-29-31, 788 saves total, save percentage of 86%, and goals against average of .8
+ Dual sport athlete in High School playing both Soccer and Basketball
+ HS Basketball starter leading my team to district finals and regional playoffs as teams leading defender in 2021 and 2022
If it weren’t for my trainers, I would not be where I am today. They have helped me develop into the goalkeeper I am today. They each have their own set of styles that has allowed me to develop the technique, shot stopping ability, and footwork skills I am very proud of and continue to improve on today. I have been fortunate to train with some of the best:
+ Kevin Clinton (who is a former pro player for the Tampa Bay Rowdies-Old NASL. He has also coached, trained, and helped develop players like Zac Macbeth (Philadelphia Union & Colorado Rapids), Jeff Attinella ( Real Salt Lake, Rowdies) and Bryane Heaberlin (Women’s U-20s World Cup Champion, starting keeper))
+ Kristen Russel (NCAA record for shutouts for a freshman at St John's University. She also played professional soccer in Iceland.)
+ Bryane Heaberlin (Women U-20s WC Champions, starting Keeper)
I hope you will consider me as a potential athlete for your program and I thank you for taking the time to read a little about me. If you would like to learn more about me do not hesitate to reach out to any of my coaches or myself. Thank you again and I hope to be a part of your program!
