Kelsey Schexnayder '21 Recruiting Profile

I’ve always loved soccer and I have wanted to play in college for as long as I can remember. It’s been my dream since kindergarten to continue my soccer career into college. Being able to play and attend college will not only make my family and friends proud, but myself proud as well. My dedication towards the game and a team has always stood out to people. My love and hard work also helps me strive in my soccer career and makes me a better player. I would also say my gameplay stands out. I always think a few plays before I take action on the field and just think about the game around me in general unlike a lot of players. Not only do I feel strong about my character on the field but my character off the field as well. In school, I have a 3.7 GPA and take part in multiple clubs, including Beta club, FCCLA, Spanish National Honors Society, and Environmental club.  I find my character, athletics, and academics to be quite different than majority of the athletes I’ve ever come across.
