Ocean Bustamante '24 Recruiting Profile

Aloha coaches, my name is Ocean Bustamante. I am currently a junior attending Kamehameha Schools Kapālama in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. Soccer has been a major part of my life ever since I was 8 years old. It has continuously been a factor in my growth as an individual. The sport has served as my ultimate mentor, as I have learned countless powerful lessons throughout the years. I love soccer and everything it has to offer, I wouldnʻt be the person I am today without it. As a player, I strive to put in the work and achieve my goals. I am seen as a hard worker, driven toward my next step. I never shy away from putting in the work when nobody is watching. I am a team player and care about the people around me. Whether it is in school or on the soccer field, I never settle for what I have become or accomplished. Academically, I constantly put the "student," in "student-athlete." I hold myself accountable to put forward and excel in my education. Outside of both school, and soccer I have my family that focuses on keeping me well-rounded. My family is my biggest support system, and I aim to always make them proud. It would be a blessing to continue playing the sport I love collegiately. My work ethic, target for excellence, and character as an individual, will allow me to be an asset to any team.
