Along with many other people, I have been influenced by many life events. Some that aren't usually spoken on and others that some student-athletes may relate to. Although life has had its own bumpy roads, I have pushed myself to keep going, with the support of my loved ones. Growing up, soccer has been in my life before I even decided that it was going to be a sport I was going to commit to. I was always given the choice to join any sport I desired, but for many reasons I chose to stick to this one for the long run.
I have learned to work with teammates on the field regardless if there are any problems off the field. Training throughout the years, I have always been one to pass the ball and assist if possible, knowing that is my job as center mid. I am capable of taking the ball, yet that is only if it is needed. I look forward to playing against and with skilled players, this hypes me up because there are many out there. Seeing how much one can do, I challenge myself to be better as a player. Soccer has applied to my everyday life. As my coach in high school had said once, "Just like practices and games, one has to be on time to school, work, appointments, and etc. Just like practices, you apply the skills to game days; as for homework, you apply that knowledge to testing days."
