Hi, I am Lainey Somers, a junior at Central High School. I have played soccer for as long as I can remember and it has always been a huge part of my life. I do not know where I would be without the influence soccer has had on my life. Soccer has taught me to push myself to get better and not give up even when things are not going my way. A dream that I have worked for is to become an engineer while continuing to play soccer. Over the years, I have played with many teams, allowing me to improve my skills and knowledge of the game. I always push myself to get better and improve my game. On the field I am willing to play wherever I am needed because I want to do what is needed for my team and playing multiple positions will make me a stronger player. My strengths are distribution, patience, and I hustle after 50-50 ball's. I always try to find room for improvement and better myself as a player. I listen to the constructive criticism of others to become a stronger player. Currently, I am focusing on being more confident in myself and my skills, especially in high-pressure situations. I hope that over the next few seasons of my high school and club career, I will get better and receive an opportunity to continue to play soccer in college!
