The very first club game of the season my U14 year I broke my femur. I was passing back a ball from a throw in and was kicked in the leg. I was devastated when I found out and realized I would miss the whole fall season and my final season of grade school soccer. But, I think this was a defining moment mentally and physically for me and my soccer career. I watched every game promising myself that as soon as I could I would be back on the field as I realized how much I love to play soccer and how I never want to have that obstacle in my way again.
The school I am looking for will provide me with the academic opportunity to pursue a career in physical therapy or a similar field and the athletic opportunity to compete with players at the highest level. My discipline, work ethic and determination are what helped me to recover from my injury and have driven me to become the player I am now. I can immediately impact a team by continuing to work hard improving my skill, using my versatility to contribute to all aspects of play on the field and challenging my teammates to raise our level of play. My ideal school is one that provides me with the opportunity to play at a high level for a competitive program.
