My name is Yenni Gonzalez and I am in the class of 2022. I go to Mayfield High School in Mayfield, KY. I have played soccer since I was about 5 years old. I have played in a recreational soccer association from ages 5-12. I started Middle School soccer as soon as I entered middle school and have been a starter every year since then. When I was in 8th grade I was the only female student to practice with the high school girls' team. I was the only middle school player to play a couple of friendly JV games along with high schoolers. During the high school season, I did stats and helped out my coach before games. Once I was in high school I was finally able to play on the Varsity team along with the JV team for all games and was a starter for both teams, sometimes playing two games in a row, with no subs. Once high school season was over I played on an indoor team for a while, then went to middle school practices to try and stay in shape and help out other players. This year, sophomore year, I recently joined a soccer club and am excited to start this next season.
I am a very sociable and friendly player, which allows me to get along with every player but I am also very disciplined. Being part of a team is very important to me and has a lot of value. I might not be the best player but I always try my hardest on the field and never give up, even under lots of pressure. I am a coachable player and always strive to improve myself as a player and a person as a whole.
When I graduate I wish to go to a college with a great nursing program to go into either midwifery, neonatal nursing, or a pediatric nurse.
