My name is Mariah Ambers and I have always dreamt of playing soccer professionally or in college since I was a little girl. Soccer has been part of my life since I was 4 years old. I have been a starter on the varsity soccer team since freshman year and I’m very proud to say so. I was Captian of my team this year. My team needed me to step up on defense this year and I did just that. My hard work earned me 2nd Team All District as well as 2nd Team All NELA. I feel that I would be a good candidate for your team because I can play any position that you need and I’m very dedicated. I also push myself as hard as I can, giving 110% at everything I do. What makes me different is although I’m shy at first, I’m very outgoing and always bring positive energy wherever I go. I enjoy making people happy and uplifting my teammates. I like seeing that I made them smile or made their day better. Athletic wise, I pick up very quickly and I can play wherever I am needed. Academic wise, although I struggle with math I try my hardest to keep my grades up and even help others if they need it. I also plan on taking the ACT again in June to up my score, I got it confused with the SAT and left some questions unanswered. Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement and for thank you consideration.
