Throughout my entire life, I've had obstacles thrown my way and I've been able to figure out how to get past them. Adaptation, evaluation and knowing my worth were key to get me to be the person and athlete I am today. I took myself out of a bad situation that I knew wasn't going to end well for me and my future and I asked my parents to enroll me at AACS. Since being at AACS, I have grown so much as a whole. I really began to come out of my comfort zone and I have accomplished more things than I had ever even dreamed of as a current junior in high school. I have continued to get really good grades at a very academically challenging school even though it's very stressful at times and always a challenge. One of the reasons I switched schools was for that very challenge as I have always loved to be pushed to expand my own knowledge and skill in every way I can.
Other challenges in my life such as being held back on a club soccer team, coming into a new school only knowing one person and trying to balance school, club soccer, school soccer and track. These experiences, which are my life, have made me so much more hard-working and perseverant. It led me to learning to be ambidextrous with my feet at the age of 12 and to be versatile on the field being able to fill any position in which I was needed and maintaining a healthy balance in all aspects of my life. Adapting to each situation that was put in front of me, I have been able to become captain of my school team, grown in relationships with teammates on and off the field, and really create great relationships with the people I surround myself with. Evaluation and knowing not only my own worth but the worth of the people around me have truly been things I have been gifted with and I continuously use those gifts on and off the field with my friends and family. Alongside each other, my teammates and I truly are there for each other and I have loved that I have been such a big part in the relationships between us all on all the teams I am a part of. I have truly grown as a person over the past few years of my life and I believe that competing and studying at a collegiate level is the next step to continued growth and experiencing the amazing journey we all call life.
