I grew up in a family of volleyball players, but I strayed away from the trend when I was 4 to play soccer. At first, the sport was for fun; go out , score some goals, celebrate and go home. It wasn’t until I was 8 years old, and started club soccer that the competition and my drive to better myself in the sport really started to pick up. I’m now a sophomore in high school and my drive to play as a college athlete as never been so determined as now. I continue to work off the field as well as on the field. My father as instilled in me that it is much more important to excel in the classroom than on the field so my GPA is very important to me as is strive to increase that through AP courses. This year as a sophomore I am beginning to get more involved in my high school and joining the SGA (student government association). In this is, I strive to not only give back to my community but also grow as an individual and a positive role model. As I continue my journey through high school, I know that the process has just begun. I can offer your school commitment in the classroom and on the field, drive to be a better player and person everyday, and someone that you can be proud of to represent your university!
