I am a 5'8" goalie who is a Senior at Calvert High School in Prince Frederick, MD. I play club soccer for Southern Maryland Rush in the Region 1 Eastern Development Program. For my club career, I have mostly played goalie. For high school, I have played Varsity for three years as a goalie, striker, and holding mid. I have a 4.2 GPA and got an 1190 on my SAT. I take AP and Honors courses, and attend the Career and Technology Academy in the Academy of Health Professions.
For college, I am very interested in the healthcare field. I am exploring different career opportunities through my Biomedical Science classes, and hope to continue that over the next several years. I will have the opportunity to leave high school with one or more certifications toward my healthcare career. I'm looking for a school in the Mid-Atlantic or Southeastern region that will allow me to further my studies in the nursing field, as well as provide me an opportunity to continue my soccer career.
I feel like I am a good candidate for a collegiate soccer team because I am a versatile and dedicated player. I'm known to be a leader on the field and will play whatever position my team has a need for at that time. I'm the type of person who wants to be the first one on the field, and the one who is staying to help the coach pick up cones after practice. Outside of school and club training, I continue to develop my skills on my own time through extra goalkeeper training. I work hard to stay in shape all year long, and have added weight lifting and extra cardio to my workout routine.
