My name is Kayla Francillon and I'm a senior at Malden Catholic High School. I am a dedicated student athlete who is looking forward to playing soccer at the collegiate level. I come from a family of soccer players: my grandfather Henri Francillon, sr played professional soccer in Germany and represented Haiti in the World Cup in ’74. My father played semi-pro and coaches both high school and club, my mother played collegiate soccer and my brother plays as well. I am excited to continue in my family’s footsteps and love for the game.
I'm an Outside Midfielder and play for my high school team and South Shore Select. I began soccer at age 5 and haven't missed a season. In addition to soccer, I run indoor/outdoor track, (200m/300m), to stay in shape during the off season. I consistently work on improving my soccer IQ and skills that will contribute to my team and personal performance. Some of my accolades include: Athlete of the Year, Catholic Conference All-Stars, (3 years in a row), Freshman Athlete of the Year, State Qualifier, (track & field), 4th place in State Meet (300m), ODP- Olympic Development Program. My athleticism, speed and ability to listen when being coached has been a huge factor in my soccer growth.
November Update: I just completed my high school senior season finishing with most goals scored in the history of my school with 34, I was named a Catholic Conference All Stars and won the Golden Boot Award for most goals for Malden Catholic Girls School.
