Jamie Dahlgard '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Jamie Dahlgard and I have been playing soccer since I was three years old. The first time I stepped onto the field, the love of this sport stuck with me. I first started playing town soccer and realized right away that I loved it. I loved it so much I went from town soccer to playing club and have been playing club ever since. This is why I want to continue playing on the next level. My dream is to play at the college level and I would do anything and everything to achieve this dream. 

On and off the field, I tend to be super competitive. I hate to lose. I think one of the reasons I love soccer so much is because it is super competitive. I use my strength and knowledge of the game to my advantage. I play center back but my coaches have always counted on the fact that I am very versatile. I am super coachable and love feedback from coaches. Club has helped me get the thick skin you need to play competitively. Doing 110% in everything I do is key, whether that is in soccer or education. 

Working hard on the field is important, but I know that working hard in the classroom is just as important. I am an honors student and strive to get A’s in every subject. I am looking for a college that will challenge me academically and athletically. I am always up for a challenge! I aim to become a successful student-athlete. Graduating college while playing soccer has been my dream for as long as I can remember and I can’t wait to achieve it.
